Of Legends and Time. Part Five

[Jack Sparrow]

This'll take place....maybe about a year after El Dorado. And We'll be visiting Port Royale.

Jack Sparrow and Co have been "peacefully" sailing the Caribbean for nearly a year now. Carefully keeping an eye on Port Royale and waiting for word on Will and Elizabeth's child.

It's around this time when news reaches them about the Turner child they decide to visit the sleepy fort and enjoy themselves. And harass the stationed Navy and Norrington of course. (I mean honestly, it's fun)

However a traitor makes their way onto the Black Pearl there. When Jack and his crew get out of the harbor, the ship is set on fire and explodes. (Yes, I destroyed the BLACK PEARL! *plays dramatic music*)

Jack is furious, as is to be expected,and sinks into a depression of sorts. Finally while in Port Royale he and Will hear an old legend. A old medallion that can turn back time.

Of course this could very well be true, after all Jack and his crew have seen it wouldn't exactlly be a far stretch. But the problem is this. The Medallion was broken by it's makers. Three pieces spread across the Seas. The pieces have to be found and united before it can work, assuming of course it does.

Jack wants to use the medallion to reverse time and save his beloved ship. But the medallion was destroyed for a reason. The power to change time is not something to be taken lightly. And in the hands of a pirate, no matter how noble the cause, its a dangerous thing.

NOTE: It's worth saying and mentioning the origins of this plot. "All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you." It was a rather odd thing that I was listening to the POTC soundtrack while looking at A ROTK trailer. And that wonderful quote from Gandalf is what gave this rpg its heart.

Current Going Ons: The crew has been transported to a ship, via Puck and all his madness. Mark is a aboard, as are the Turners, including James. I just realized we've not given a name to the Medallion we're after. So I'm giving it a name after a Persian god. Don't ask why. It just seems right.

I'm calling it the medallion of Ahura Mazda. For a little back ground history on said god...here you go. He's one of the top gods in Persian myth....all wise and all knowing. A god dedicated to the destruction of darkness and lies. His symbol was a winged disc....and that is what the Medallion will look like. A gold circle with two wings, which have been broken off and we'll find them. Savvy?

All righty then, so that's the story, lets go and have some fun then shall we?#nosmileys

[Jack Sparrow]

::Jack smiled over at Emma and nodded:: "Aye...glad to hear it....and yes I've got a plan....." He added and changed the course of the ship a bit::

"I'm goign to see if I can't catch us the tradewinds first. When we're on course I'll explain everything. But I think Evelyn might have a better idea of what's going on. Or Eric. Ye can ask them if you want to know."

::In saying this he directed his attention to getting in the path of the tradewinds, which would carry them over the seas very quickly.::

[Kalin]

After the destrcution of the Black Pearl, Kalin, like everyone else in the crew had been sad, and angered. But there wasn't much he could do except to try and comfort the others in the crew, and maybe find a way to help Jack.

He wouldn't leave the captain. He knew full well that a man like the captain was hard to come by and he was willing to stick with him.

He had gone to bed that night, firmly convinced that by mroning everything would be sorted out, they'd have a plan.

and apparently they did have a plan. When Kalin woke up that morning he was on a ship, without any clue to how he had gotten there. Utterly confused he looked around. First he thought he'd been dreaming. That the Black Pearl was still in one piece. But no.

The cabin he was in wasn't his. He blinked and looked around first before running up on deck to see the rest of the crew looking somewhat confused, and Jack shouting something about catching the tradewinds.

Doing some mental calulations Kalin realized Jack was heading East then, if he was taking the tradewinds. He rubbed his head and wondered what was to the East.

Then he walked over to the stern of the ship and peered out into the water. Where was Jack planning on taking them? Being easy going he wasn't over concerned about how he got on this ship. He figured if everyone else was here then he was safe. He'd figure it out later.

[Jason]

Jason, being the polar opposite of his brother was quite distrubed about how he had gotten on a strang ship, in the middle of the ocean, without knowing how or why he'd gotten here.

Startled he tore up the stairs after Kalin and had a look around deck. He noticed the rest of the crew, so that was something. He also noted that this was a Navy ship. The royal flag was still raised. So he went over and wisely lowered it. Best to not fly under false colors.

He glanced over at Kalin when Jack mentioned tradewinds. East? What was in the East? Jack must have gotten a plan into his head without warning the rest of the crew.

Shrugging he went about tying ropes, checking sails. Anything to keep busy. He'd ask Jack later. At least the whole crew appeared to be together. That was something.

[Roux]

Well that was new. Roux looked around the deck of the ship and appeared for once in his life, utterly puzzled. What in the name of Hades had happened?

Then he spotted Puck on deck and frowned. Hermes, his younger brother knew Puck and was good friends with him. So the Trickster must have done something. But what was he doing here? And for what reason was Jack turning this new Ship East?

Still a bit puzzled Roux shook his head and went below decks to see if there was something to eat. While below he decided to just fix something for the crew to eat. No doubt all of them would be hungry in time. He checked various supply boxes and barrels, and discovered that they would need to make a stop soon. They had food enough to last a couple days.

Making a mental note to tell Jack about this he set about making a meal for the crew.

[DianaMcBeth]

<Puzzled did not exactly explain Diana's feelings of being suddenly transported to a Navy ship in the middle of the ocean. She was about two seconds from crying in confusion when she saw that the rest of the crew seemed to be just fine.>

<Keeping that in mind she nodded at the captain when he asked if everyone was all right.>

"Just fine Captain!" <She answered.> "A wee bit confused and wonderin' if the rum hasn't gone bad, but I'm all right. Can' speak for the rest of the crew of course." <she added with a chuckle and then turned to help prep the ship.>

<If she learned anything from being a part of this crew it was that you had to expect the un expected. you never ever knew what was in store for you. So she made the best of it, figuring once the Captain had them on course he'd tell them what he was planning on doing.>

[LilyBelle]

"What in the bloody blazes of Holy Mary mother of God is going on here?!" Lily demanded when she stormed up on deck. Being a girl who didn't like surprises she was far from happy about being caught unawares on a strange ship.

It was bad enough that the black Pearl had been blown up. Bad enough that she watched the place she called home for the past few years go up in smoke. It was bad enough she was clearly aboard a navy ship. But NOT knowing how she'd gotten there was even worse!

And she wanted answers. Jack appeared to be unharmed, and the Turners and the new baby were there too. Mark....currently the only person on earth she wanted to kill was there too....and the rest of the crew.

What confused her more then anything was that everyone else seemed to be perfectly all right with floating out in the middle of the ocean with not a damn clue how they'd gotten there. Or maybe she was the only one confused. But no, Jack said he'd explain things after he'd put them on course.

Tradewinds? East. What in blazes was East? Lily shook her head and frowned at this. What could Jack be wanting in the East? A new ship maybe? Spices? She somehow doubted he was willing to give the Black Pearl up so easily.

Just to make sure she wasn't dreaming she pinched herself and winced. Yup. She was awake. Good. Well, then what was left for her to do? Everyone else seemed in control of things.

Lily had seen the strange white haired creature on deck eariler and she kept her eyes on him. Somehow she had a feeling this was all his doing, whatever he was. She caught Roux watching him closely before going below decks. Well Roux had always been a bit odd. What kind of company did he keep?

With a huff sound she sat down on a pile of rope and began sharpening her little throwing knives. no harm in being prepared.

[Jack Sparrow]

(Thanks for posting all of you. Thanks for the emails, and I hope you'll be on the ship soon.)

::Jack smiled as some of his crew appeared on deck. No doubt they had been sleeping below decks.::

"Everything's fine, Lily." He called. "I'll explain later." He could tell the others were assured by each other's pressence and it made him smile.:::

::Jack felt the wind stream he was chasing turn warm and gusty. He streered them directly into it, and watched as the wind got caught in the white sails and sighed. He missed the black sails already.::

::But this ship streered well enough. It would be speedy and manuver well. The sails were good. They'd be headed in the right direction soon enough. Jack smiled just a little bit. He's go below and have a look around in a couple of hours. See what they needed before they really got going.::

::He had no doubt that this ship could carry a lot of supplies. They'd need to take stock of the weapons aboard...and the food....and the rum......::

::With that in mind Jack gave the wheel another slight turn to take them past a few trading ports he knew of, then they could be on their way.::

::He whistled softly, the tune carrying over the deck. If nothing else he was glad to have his crew with him right now::#nosmileys

[Puck]

::Puck eyed the rest of the crew as they came on deck. He'd not encountered most of these people before. And oddly enough shrank back from sight as far as he could::

::He didn't want to become to much of an attraction for now. Besides, he was still trying to figure out where all the iron on this ship was. Maybe he could replace some of it with something else to make it safer::

::He eyed the deck and everything that was metal, trying to get an idea of how he could do that. When he manacles blazed to life. Puck winced and he heard a voice speak to to him clearly::

"You got yourself into this mess, Trickster. You will not change anything." ::Puck frowned angerily and silently agreed. Fine. Oberon wanted him to suffer, then fine. He'd ask someone else to do it for him::

::Still annoyed Puck kept far out of sight from the rest of the crew. Well as much as he could being that he was the only one on deck wearing bright red, purple, blue and gold. Not to mention the hair and ears being a dead give away.::

::He sighed and continued to rub his wrists a bit. Damn Oberon::#nosmileys

[Evelyn]

Evelyn looked over at the rest of the crew with a smirk. Her honeyed eyes passed over them all carefully and she looked over to the strange being once again and furrowed her brows as she noticed he rubbed his menacles. Wanting to figure out a bit more about this strange being both for curiosity and safety's sake, she approahced him. "Erm...so mate...this yer first time on a ship?" She asked him lifting a brow and leaning onto the sides of the ship.

It was odd leaning on the side of the ship when she had been so used to the feel of the Pearl's well worn gunwalls. Her boot tips hit the gunwalls and she looked downward. She had to get used to this ship she supposed, as she knew they weren't getting the Pearl back...at least not for a bit. "Where d'ye come from anyways, mate? An' ye know, I haven' even learned yer name fer that matter..." Evelyn said with a tiny smirk. "With all the...erm...ENCOUNTERS we've had ye'd think I would have at least learned that." She said with a bit of a chuckle.

Her hair flutted a bit in the wind and instantly she took note that she would need to find a bandana and tie it back soon. Upon the seas it was often that Evelyn tied back her hair, the long, curly tresses tended to get in the way a bit too much. Her eyes peered over at the glittering seas and she took a deep breath. The salty air was calming for her, the cries of the gulls would soon begin to fade as they went out further to sea.

[Puck]

::Puck looked up at Evelyn curiously, then smiled:: "Where I'm from the Sea is not so wide or so free...and I was never free enough to travel on it if I wished anyway....at least not on my own....."

::He turned just slightly to look at her a bit better:: "My name....I have many...But...I suppose you can call me Puck. It's the easiest." He smiled, and waved his hand at her head::

::Instead of flowers a bandana of bright sea blue appeared in Evelyn's hair, tying it neatly back. It was a sort of odd habit he had. Fixing situations without much thought.::

::He looked back at the water. It was a nice day to be on the open sea. Puck tilted his head to one side and watched some gulls fly by with idle interest:: "It's nice out here...."

[Evelyn]

Just as Evelyn looked over at Puck she felt a something strange and her hands went immediately to her head. A bandana. Just what she had wanted and Evelyn smirked. "Travel alone? You weren't able to go off by yourself? Why's tha'?" she asked with a bit of genuine concern. "An' Puck...hm...I like tha'." She grinned and gave a bit of a chuckle. "Bit unusual I s'ppose, but i's not like yer all THAT normal are ye?" she said teasingly.

Her hand looked over the tail of the bandana and she noted that it was a bright sea blue...a bit flashier of a color than she'd have picked but it worked and came free so she wasn't about to complain. "Yeah...the seas beatiful isn' it?" she asked as she lifted a brow. "It's been my favorite and best home I think. Well...I mean besides the Map shop I used ta live in but that's all burnt ta bloody hell by now." She sighed and then shook the thought out again.

It was painful to remember her father, yet it was who she was, and she couldn't block him out all the time. Besides, with her father came thoughts of her first meeting with Eric and this brought a smile to her face. She looked over at Eric across the decks and a sort of elated feeling came over her. Though at times they tended to go at eachother a bit, she always knew deep down that nothing could destroy what they had not...or at least...she hoped not...

[Puck]

::Puck smirked at the mention of his name being a bit odd:: "I suppose it is...but then..where I am from Evelyn would be considered a very strange name...."

::For once he didn't prod about her past. He listened to her talk of the map shop with interest. humans were such interesting creatures.::

::He had sighed when she asked why he wasn't allowed to go about freely::

"How can I explain that....I am my king's second in command.....recently...made a slave....servant he calls it, but it is slavery...in a form...." ::He tapped one of his manacles with his finger::

"My King has a odd sense of humor.....and a sadistic veiw of justice....." He shrugged. "I was never free.....never.....probably never will be...." He cast the ocean a sleepy look:: "Such is the life of a fae...."

::He gave her a sideways glance.:: "Be happy you're free...."#nosmileys

[Mark Andrews]

The ropes were gone and Mark calmed a bit. He looked around at some rather unfriendly faces. He tried to make the staring eyes go away...but nothing could make them disappear. He wanted to kill Puck for that "trick". The crew could have been on him and killed him in a matter of seconds and he wouldn't even be able to defend himself. He looked around at the ship. He looked over at Jack. He wondered if the man could call this ship his own. He went below decks and found Sam and Rhys. Their cabins were next to each others. Mark walked into Rhys cabin. She was sleeping pretty soundly. Once she woke up she would freak out for sure. Mark slipped under the covers and lay beside her. For some reason her presence comforted him. He looked at her for a moment then dozed off himself.

[Sam]

Sam woke up. But he wasn't in Mark's house. He was in a small room. It was a ship! He rose slowly and looked around a bit. His stomach didn't hurt anymore. He lifted his shirt to find a small scar. He ran his hand through his hair and moved out into the hall. He peeked into the room next to his and found Rhys and Mark. He thought that was odd. They were sleeping and he chose not to disturb them. He moved up to the main deck and found several people he did not know. One such person, was it a person, had on bright colthing and struck him as the odd one. He moved up to it and tapped it on the shoulder.

"Where are we and who are you?"

Sam asked as polite as he could. It was obvious he was confused. He looked around with his mouth hanging slightly open.
