Mark slept pretty good. He suddenly felt like he was being watched. He slowly squinted open an eye...as to appear like he was still asleep. It was Rhys. He still found it a little odd that she stared at him...for he'd seen her do it other times. He stayed in his "sleeping" state for a few more moments. He rose softly and rubbed his eyes. The girl seemed a bit startled. He searched for some words for a moment. But he could only come up with one word.
"Hi."
He felt pretty stupid after saying it. He rolled his eyes at the comment and then looked back at the woman in his door way. He signaled for her to come in and sit down.
"What are you doin' up at this hour? Not that it is all that late...but you know what I mean. Is something troubling you?"
He corrected himself with the time...it was quite past midnight. He moved some stray hairs from his face. He really needed to cut his hair...of course that would please Tobbs...he quickly thought against the idea. He lay proped up by an arm looking at the girl...she seemed to be searching for something to say...he'd thought they were past that...they had been able to ask and answer questions fairly easy the night of the dinner...of course that was before he blew up her only true home.

*He cast Evelyn a nervous, side long glance as she complained about her hair and mentioned just cutting it all off. It was hard for him to picture her with short hair and in all honesty prefered her with long locks. Not that he could really say much considering the fact that he had cut his own hair not too long ago. Still, he prefered her with long hair.* I like it. *He said with a simple shrug as they continued on.
As she took reffuge behind his shoulder to hide from the passing Naval officers he grinned, his eyes scanning the long line of ships in the docks, swarmed all around with men in uniform. He grinned a little, glancing at her over his shoulder.* Admit it, you like it when things are difficult. *He grunted. He knew she lived for adventure, he was even starting to grow rather attached to it himself...he blamed her for that, among other things.
He turned his back to the ships to watch the streets for any sign of the crew and captain, or even Will and Elizabeth. Within a few moments Emma and Rick appeared and he smiled, nodding his head at them. When Evelyn asked the three of them where they thought the Captain might be at Eric shrugged and pondered it. Seemed likely enough that he'd be at the Turners place....that or wherever there was a stash of rum.
A moment later a man shoved past them, knocking a barrel into Evelyn without even caring. Eric gave him a cold, harsh glare as he passed by but restrained his temper. However the lass chucked a rock at the sailors head and Erics face instantly melted into a smile and he laughed. He winked at her. That was something that had always attracted him to her was her willingness to stand on her own two feet and not his.
Finally his brow furrowed a bit and he glanced between the three people standing near him before finally offering his own suggestion.* Maybe we should just wait here instead of going off looking places....maybe we'll eventually all end up in one place. *He said, shrugging again as he yawned. He thrust his hands in his pockets to keep them warm from the cool morning air and bounced a bit.*

*Will smiled fondly down at Elizabeth as she held him sleepily in a hug and he slipped his arms about her, resting his chin atop her curly head. His eyes strayed to a sleeping baby James who looked like a porcline doll tucked neatly beneath lavish silk covers. Will sighed happily, feeling much better now that he was surrounded by his family again. They were what mattered most to him now.
As Elizabeth protested going to sleep and offered to make tea instead Will laughed and pulled away, holding her shoulders gently as he grinned at her. His brown eyes locked on hers and he kissed her forehead.* Elizabeth, dont act like you dont need sleep, too. Im a father now you know, Ive honed in on those kind of instincts. *He said with a grin and a teasing voice.
He stroked her cheek with the back of his hand and then glanced between her and Sarah.* You both need sleep. Right now there are things I need to check on but Ill catch up on some rest later, I promise. *He said, giving his wife a look that warned her not to be concerned.
His attention was diverted when Jacks head popped into the doorway and Wills brows raised, a curious smile crept over his lips.* Its a long story, Jack. *He replied when the man asked what was going on. Then he frowned a little and stepped away from his wife to go over to the Captain. He grabbed the mans arm and led him from the room and out into the hallway.* We need to go get you another ship, Jack. There's bound to be one down in the docks you can sneak off with.... *Will stated rather seriously. He knew nothing would replace the Black Pearl and wished there was a way to get it back but unfortunantly he figured another ship was the only thing that would come close.*

Gulls screeched around the docks as the steady hum from the crowd steadily gathering about the Port increased. Evelyn rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet and crossed her arms across her chest. It was all a bit too unnerving. If she gave into instincts Eve would be tearing away from the shores, would soon be in the process of commandeering a new ship, and would be off and on her way by noon, but at this rate they'd be lucky to be out by the time the day was done.
She bit her lip and gave an incoherent mutter as Eric offered up his opinion on the matter. It only made her even more frustrated to be completely truthful, and she shot an almost hateful glare at him. "Gah! What do you know?! I mean you've only been PART of us fer little more than a bloody year." Evelyn snapped, giving a loud huff and then furrowing her brows.
Her eyes glanced sideways at him and she gave a heavy sigh. "Gah...sorry Eric. I didn' mean it that way." Evelyn said softly and with a bit of cringe. Evelyn had always HATED to apologize to ANYONE, but throughout the time she had spent upon the Pearl with Eric she had learned that she HAD to simply bite her tongue, suck it up, and apologize. Its the only thing that kept them afloat really, even though she did it half heartedly at times. Evelyn was indeed a prideful person and expecting anything but an apology anything above a whisper within Eric's earshot was completely beyond the reaches of the world as far as she was concerned.
"I jus'...this is bloody frustratin'. Nothin' happenin'...we're goin' nowhere...we're standin' 'round like a couple of lost puppies...AND....I haven't even had a rum today." Evelyn barked, taking out her flask of rum and downing it heavily. She tended to overdrink herself at times and although hadn't gotten herself drunk lately, did tend to drink her generous share of the strong substance everyday.
Her eyes flashed as she scanned her settings and she grew impatient...although somewhere she knew things could never be still and quiet for too long...at least not for this crew...and not with Emma so close by...

*Erics eyes darted over to Evelyn as she shot him a hateful glare and snapped at him. His brow furrowed and hurt festered in his eyes but he said nothing in response. He simply narrowed his eyes at her and looked away uncomfortably. He hadn't expected her to react that way and it took him by surprise. Apparently this being stuck on land was affecting her more then he thought it would. He opened his mouth to say something back. Tell her that he wouldnt even be on the ship or in the crew if she wasn't there but he closed his mouth quickly deciding not to speak.
When she appologized to him he continued to look away but gave a remote nod to acknowledge that he had heard her and for the most part accepted. He knew it was a difficult thing for her to do no matter how small the matter was that she was appologizing about but either way he wasn't happy with her insult.
He heard her pull out her flask of rum and it was then that he turned and faced her again. With a heavy sigh he glanced ahead at a small tavern that, even at this early stage in the day, was filled with customers. He looked back at her and gave a half hearted smile.* If the only thing that'll make you sane is a bloody drink then lets go to the tavern. 'S not like we have anything else to do. *He snorted and stalked towards it, giving her sleeve a quick tug as he passed by her.*

Evelyn swallowed another long draught of her rum and then mumbled as she swirled it, sensing its empty contents. "Blasted rum..." she groaned as she peered inside the dark flask and muttered again. She didn't even toss a glance at Eric, sensing his discontent with her at the moment. She hated that he would get upset over small outbursts like this. He should know by NOW at least that she was one to utter stupid things at random moments of anger and frustration. She had convinced herself that it was all HIS fault that he was bothered by her words at all.
When he finally spoke and then stalked away she gave him a long glance, looked at her sleeve that had been tugged, and then snorted. Her honeyed eyes turned to Emm and Rick. "Pft...bloody men...I swear they get in worse moods than we ever could." Evelyn stated rolling her eyes and then slowly following suit. She quickly strode up to Eric's side but walked into the tavern as if she were alone and plotted herself soundly in between two gruff looking sailors at the bar. "Give me a rum and some brandy." Evelyn said as she slapped her hand upon the side of the bar and then gave a heavy sigh.
She quite frankly wasn't in the mood to make Eric feel better, although her heart deeply regretted and urged her to make her peace with him. The sailor to her right peered over at her curiously. The other seemed to shift a bit and Evelyn paid it no mind. "Ye know ye don' have ta go gettin' upset with me Eric. I DID apologize." She repeated and then proceeded to drum her fingers upon the top of the bar.
The rum was placed in front of her and the brandy was as well. Her eyes stared lazily at the liquid as she took a long draft from it and then gave a heavy growl. She needed to get off this bloody land, away from the crowds of SO many people, away from the curious eyes, and awful stares...and back to the sea...

*Eric heard Evelyn mention mens moods to Emma as he was walking away and he snorted audibly so she could hear it but he didnt turn around. Instead he kept walking, his eyes only straying to her when she passed him and slipped into the tavern. He frowned a bit as she sat in between two rather large men, larger even then him. He paused where he stood and rocked on his heels for a moment, glancing around.
A moment later she addressed him and he walked up behind her, eyeing the one sailor who was looking at her as if to give the man a non verbal warning. Eric couldn't help but feel defensive over Evelyn, even if he knew most of the time she could handle herself. It was simply instinct to guard something he cared about more then anything. Finally he groaned and the sailor he had been eyeing got up and Eric took his seat.* Im not upset. *He said with a shrug.
A few gruff voices rose up from behind him and he couldnt help but eaves drop. They were talking about some kind of medallion, a creation that could turn back the hands of time. Erics brow rose but dropped again as the men said it had been broken into pieces and flung about the seas. When the men rose and stalked out of the tavern Eric quickly looked over at Evelyn. A smile was on his lips and his eyes sparkled.* Did you hear those men...what they said? Do you think its true.... *He asked with a hopeful voice.*

::Jack eyed Will a few moments then his face broke into a sort of half grin of amusement:: "Knew there was a pirate in ye someplace." He said softly then nodded::
"But I agree, mate. I need to get out of Port Royale...and the crew.....They know not to cause trouble here.....but the Navy's not far away.....and pirates and the royal navy mix about as well as fire and gunpowder....."
::He frowned just slightly. He had to find a way to replace the Pearl, either by getting it back..or building a new one....he had to change this somehow. He'd been around the Caribbean long enough to know stories and legends.....some of which he knew to be true....the most famous one being the Aztec gold and the crew of undead pirates......but...there had to be more than one way to change the outcome of the past night.....::
::Still frowning he turned to Will.:: "It'd have to be a fast ship...something small enough to catch a good wind and quick enough to outrun the navy....and we'll need guns.....cannons...lots of them.....savvy?"
::His mind flickered to Norrington. He'd need to comandeer a ship soon. during high tide.....he'd be able to out run the good Comodore.....catch the tradewinds and make a break for the open seas......the problem being..what would his goal be. He'd worry about that later. Right now he needed a ship:: "You know this port better then I do, Will...what do you suggest?"

::Puck still in his oddly animal form listened to Jack's plan, and smirked to himself. His tail up he walked over to the window and hopped out and traisped down the street and went in search of Jack's crew.::
::He found Eric and Evelyn in a tavern, if tavern it could be called. In Port Royale there was no such thing as a true tavern. He walked over to their table, under the disguise of a strange little cat creature and sat square in the center of the table, and preened, looking for all the world as if he belonged there::

The woman said nothing to him. He was beginning to feel frustrated. Why didn't she just tak to him? He trusted her...he felt she should trust him...then he thought back to what he had done. That would make it hard for anyone to trust him again. He tucked her into his bed
"I'm going over to the Turner's to talk to them for a bit. Get some rest...I'll be back soon."
He said to her. Whatever happened to her earlier must have really messed her up. She barely moved. Mark went out the door. He walked right past Sam for he didn't know he was there. He walked the long cold walk to the Turner house. It was an feeling for him. If Tobbs was there she'd try to kill him again. He didn't bring any weapons to show he was no longer in the mood for hostilities. He got to the large mansion after a time. He went up to the front door and knocked several times. He waited outside. He was going to beg for them to allow him to stay as one of the crew. He hadn't sailed with them since El Dorado...but since his mother was dead he felt he could go back to his old ways...once a pirate always a pirate.

Evelyn's eyes had remained fixed upon her flask of rum as Eric's presence moved forward through the crowded Tavern. She blinked and her fingers drummed upon the cool surface of the flask. The cacophony that was the tavern's song buzzed and blended seamlessly. She took another draft from the drink and then looked to her right as Eric took his seat next to her.
"Not upset?" Evelyn asked with a laugh that signaled she hadn't been convinced. After his words had reached her ears Evelyn tuned out a bit and looked around a bit annoyed as she took in the last of her rum and downed her brandy all a bit too quickly and shook her head to shake off the slight buzz that passed through her at the moment. She slapped the bar yet again and gave a bit of shout down the bar at the bartender who blundered over and refilled her flask before handing it back to her.
When it was shoved back in her hand something tugged at Evy, her ears pricked, and inexplicably, she found herself leaning back in order to catch more loudly a conversation that seemed a bit out of ordinary.
"Yeah...Black Pearl it was I tell ya! Tha' was Jack Sparrow's crew fer sure..." A gruff voice said and then was interrupted. "Well they're never gonna be able ta rebuild somfin' THA' grand...'f I were tha' Cap'n Jack, I'd go lookin' for tha' golden medallion...wha's it called?" "AH! Yer talkin' 'bout the one tha' was broke ta pieces? The one sought after throughout the seven seas? The one tha' was cast out over about the oceans? The one tha' can..." "Turn back time...'xactly." The second voice answered with a bit of a surprised tone. "Turn back time..." the first responded, his voice echoing as if in awe of the idea of it. "Could ye imagine the type of power tha' could come from tha'?"
Clink! Screech! Crash! Evelyn had fallen backwards from leaning back so much and coughed a bit as she stood, attempting to look innocent. She seated herself again without much of a commotion as it was a Tavern and drunkards were something just expected in this sort of place and in the state Evelyn was in which was at LEAST a bit off, she could be taken for one.
She sat again, took a long draft from her rum and then looked to Eric as he spoke. "SH!" Evelyn scolded as Eric spoke again. "What d'ye WANT us ta get caught?" she asked as she looked around the Tavern with slight suspicion. She couldn't help but feel as if they weren't the only ones to catch that conversation and she was almost angry at the two that had conversed about something like that so openly. "That medallion...could 'ave sworn 've heard somethin' 'bout it." Evelyn said in something smaller than a mutter. Her eyes shot to Eric and her eyes softened. She just couldn't stay angry at him at the moment, especially when she knew she'd be needing his alliance if they were to do anything drastic in the near future...
Evelyn looked over her shoulder and peered at the two who had been conversing about the medallion and caught a suspicious glance thrown at her. She turned around quickly and lowered her head a bit. She downed the rest of her ale, wiped her lips, and then gave a heavy sigh. She blinked and the scenes around her became a bit blurred but they were shaken off quickly. "We need ta find Jack, Eric." She stated plainly. In her gut she had a sense to return to her Captain. She didn't like being away from him for so long, not knowing what could have happened to him.
Evelyn placed a hand upon Eric's shoulder, her fingers gripped around it firmly, and she squeezed it as if hoping she would get some sort of reassurance from this simple touch. She had come to expect reassurance to stem from Eric to her now and she knew she wouldn't be able to move at all if it weren't for Eric's belief that it was in her best interests...
It was then that Lerivel leapt back a bit and furrowed her brows. A cat had hopped on top of their table, oddly enough, and had begun preening. "Bloody cat..." she muttered and made to shoo it away but it seemed to not want to budge. There was something strange about this cat and she looked to Eric as if hoping he could give her an answer for all of this but quite frankly, didin't really expect HIM to come up with any sort of logical answer for this.

::Puck just continued preening and looked reprochfully at Evelyn as if daring her to just TRY and move him. He glared at her in a most mischievously elf like way then yawned and turned to look at the two men who had been talking::
::for a cat he looked most interested. His green eyes narrowed a bit, the expression eerily human then he glanced up at Evelyn as if to say: "Good idea. Now scuttle along like a good biped (just means a creature that walks on two legs.) and tell your captain that."::
::He continued preening then arched his back in a most arrogantly catish fashion and curled up on Evelyn's lap as if to say "move and I'll bite." he was after all tired. magic could do that to a person.::

*Will stared at Jack oddly for a moment as an amused grin crept over the mans face then he smiled himself at the Captains comment. He shrugged a little, glancing back out at the ships in the lazy docks. They'd taken a whole ship before with just the two of them, not to mention they had even enlisted the Navys help without the officers even realizing it!
He nodded his head at the description of the ship they would need.* They're navy ships, there's bound to be a small fast one. *He stated, twitching his head to get rid of a few stray hairs in his face. A thoughtful look came over his face as Jack asked him for his suggestion. His thought process was interupted however by a loud knocking at the front door. His head jerked towards the doorway and he cocked a brow.* Some of the crew maybe? *He pondered aloud, heading downstairs.
When he opened the door a fire flickered deep within his eyes at the sight of Mark. He stood there, still as stone deciding it best not to threaten the man.... even if he wanted to.* Yes? *He said in a simple, flat tone.*

*Eric eyed Evelyn a moment as she ordered more rum and a grim smirk fell upon his lips. He still couldnt get over the fact that this small woman could outdrink him anytime of the year. He'd ever only won one drinking contest in his life against a young lad named Braden, but Eric had only been 15 and in an interesting part of his life. Despite the fact he had learned to tolerate rum he still prefered other drinks. In fact he had pretty much avoided taverns all together after the death of Ashley but Evelyn seemed to enjoy them and so he started going again.
His thoughts were torn from her when he picked up on more of the conversation coming from behind him. His ears perked up as he listened intently, however no matter how discrete he was trying to be anyone watching him would easily see he was eavesdropping. He blinked and cringed as a loud crashing noise came from beside him and his eyes darted to Evelyn who had toppled out of her chair.* Bleedin Christ, and I thought I was obvious! *He barked out of the corner of his mouth. His mouth dropped in shock as she actually scolded him for practically getting them caught.* You're mad woman. *He grunted, finishing off the last of his drink and shaking his head.
As she grabbed his shoulder he sighed heavily and nodded. They did need to find Jack and let him know about what they had just heard. Maybe it could be of some use to them. When a cat jumped up on the table Eric gave it a slightly annoyed, slightly curious look.* Right then.... *He said still looking at the cat, and slowly his head turned to Evelyn* Off to the Captain then? He's probably at Wills.[b/] *He stated, placing his hand on the small of her back as he led her from the tavern and up to the Turner place. His brow furrowed as he saw Mark and Will standing in the doorway.* This could be an interesting visit. *He whispered to Evy*

Evelyn looked on at the cat with an odd look and lifted a curved brow. It seemed to give off a certain message and then plopped in her lap. "What in the 'ell..." Evelyn began to say softly as she prodded the cat a bit violently. "Off!" she told it sternly. Her eyes darted back up to Eric as he mentioned her being mad. "Mad?" she asked and then grinned gently. "Ye know ye love me that way mate." She teased giving him a wink.
Her eyes drifted back curiously to the cat when Eric made to escort her out of the tavern. "Ah! Bloody 'ell..." she commented as she stood and brushed the cat away from her. "At least let me finish this off." She muttered a bit disgruntled and then took a long draft from her rum and then was led out of the tavern.
As they made their way to Will's home she narrowed her eyes as she spotted Mark at the doorstep. "Interestin' indeed..." she murmered back. She shook her head as she looked Mark over in a bit of disappointment. "I swear Eric, ye'd better hold me back...'m 'fraid I might tell Mark somethin' that just MIGHT get me in trouble." she said with a slight smirk at Eric but huffed a bit as her eyes returned once again to Mark. The day was passing now and the sun was beaming down strongly by now.
Her eyes turned to Will as they approached. "Hey Will mate! 'Ave ye seen Jack anywhere? Have a bit o' news for the bloke..." she stated and gave a sidelong glance at Mark giving him a bit of a glare.
She stood close by Eric's side and noticing a few red coats beginning to pass them she made to stand as close to Eric as she could in order to keep herself blocked from view. Her hand slipped to grasp Eric's gently and she peered over his shoulder to note that they were passing. Her other hand clung gently to arm and then she gave a small grunt. "Gah, if we were on a bloody ship I wouldn' have ta worry 'bout bein' seen all the time." She said with a sigh and shaking her head.
