As Emma watched Jack give Evy her present, she slapped herself in the forehead.Bloody Hell, she couldn't ever remember anything, could she?Rick's birthday was easy enough to remember, being a week before Christmas, and she and Kat had a tradition of buying drinks for one another on their respective birthdays, when they were on the same island, but everyone else's tended to slip her mind.A thoughtful frown crossed her features. What could she give her friend on short notice?
Suddenly,an idea came to her.Her bluegreen eyes lit up,and she quickly finished the knot she'd been tying, striding quickly over to her cabin door.Once inside, she pulled a key from her belt and slid a mahogany chest from beneath her bed.A grin stayed plastered on her face as she unlocked the box and opened it,rummaging for a few seconds before she found what she was looking for.Once the box was safely locked and stashed in its hiding place, she paused in thought. She had a gift now...but Evy's birthday wasn't until tomorrow, right?A quick mental calculation satisfied her of this,so she took the present and slid it under the covers of her bed before heading outside, taking note of how quickly they were approaching the port as she went back to work.

*Eric snickered at Evelyn at her rather tempting proposition.* Yeah, I'd like to see you try that. *He said with a grunt, his eyes shifting from her to Jack as the man came over and presented her with a gift. He blinked a couple times as the lavish daggar was revealed. That certainly seemed like a gift she'd be happy to recieve, hell Eric didn't even like blades much and even he'd love to have something like it.
He grinned a little as she let him hold the blade while she went over to the Captain. He swooshed it about a bit, jabbing at invisible foes with it and then chucked it at a barrel. Unfortunantley the handle hit and not the blade and it went tumbling to the ground. His eyes widened and he jerked around to see if Evelyn, or Jack had noticed and then he scurried over to the blade and scooped it up.* The aims a little off...must be a faulty blade *He coughed.
When Evelyn returned to his side again he quickly handed it back to her before he screwed it up or lost it. It was too fine a gift to be in his hands and for a moment he frowned a little. He wondered now if he really should have gotten her something fancy instead of just sketching out a picture, seemed like a cheap gift now. He cleared his throat and his hands went instinctivley to his pockets and he smiled at her.* Knowing you that'll come in handy soon enough. *He said with a soft laugh, looking out into the Port as the ship came into it.*

*Neither Will nor Elizabeth tried to stop Sarah when she offered to make breakfast. Anytime they could get just a moments rest they would jump at the chance, and now seemed an oportune moment. Elizabeth adjusted the blanket around the small baby and smiled down at him. The infant smiled back at her and wiggled a bit, giggling softly. Will grinned and followed his wife and Sarah into the kitchen.
When the woman said she hadn't come just to make breakfast Will cocked a brow. When she stated the real reason he smiled brightly and bolted over to the window, trying to catch a glimpse of the Pearl in the docks. When he spotted it he turned back around, his eyes dark dancing with excitment. Even Elizabeth was smiling.* Who knows why that mans back, you never can tell whats in his head. *Will said, laughing. Elizabeth glanced towards the window.* Of course I can tell. I imagine rum and Tobbs take up most of that daft mind of his.[/color] *She chuckled.
Will nodded at Sarah when she asked if they'd accompany her to the docks.* Wouldn't have it any other way! *Will said, reaching out for the boy. Elizabeth placed the baby in his arms and they swiftly made their way to the docks, excitment of seeing old friends again made their feet much lighter. They spotted Mark on the docks and gave him a wave. Will hadn't talked to him much since they returned a year ago, the man just seemed like an introvert now. He saw some of the crew shifting around on the Pearls decks and he called out to them.* Come to harass Port Royal again have you? *He grinned.*
ooc: Maria, this is a delayed reaction *g* but I love yer new look *Clings to Lost*

::Jack grinned brightly when the anchor was dropped and he turned to his crew:: "Right then....no pillaging here....." He said with a small hint of a warning in his voice. Port Royale was off limits to Jack's crew and they knew it.:::
"Anyone visiting friends or off to find a tavern be at teh ship tomorrow morning. Do what ye please...." He added and turned in time to see Will and Elizabeth arriving at the docks::
::He grinned and gave them a wave:: "I'll be there in a moment....." and he dived to his cabin and came back out holding a bundle of things. Then he disembarked from the ship with his normal jaunty swagger and gave them all a friendly grin::
"So this is the lil' bugger is it?" He questioned eyeing the baby boy over with some slight bit of misgiving. He had never been around children much and didn't know exactly what to do with them. The ones he had seen at this age were shrieking bundles of fury and odd oders.::
::This one however looked at Jack with large brown eyes and a mane of deep brown hair. He was going to look a good deal like Will. Jack quirked an eyebrow examining the tiny bundle and it stared back making odd burbling sounds.::
"Well it hasn't gotten itself killed yet." Jack replied. "So maybe stupidity skips a generation in yer family." Jack said playfully and gave Will a one armed hug, then reached into his bundle.::
::He plopped a large hat on Will's head. It was about a spilt second away from being garish. It had reminded Jack of the one Will had been wearing when he saved him from hanging. Only this one was a inky black, and the edges were lined with gold and silver thread. The feathers on this one were red and almost laughably long.::
::Jack looked pleased with his gift then turned to Elizabeth and offered her a sash of fine gossamor and silk. It was the color of the sea on one side. A deep calming blue green. The other side was the color of a spring sky. Pale blue and shot through with silver. The edges were fringed in silver and pale pale gold thread::
::The pirate grinned then looked at the baby:: "Wasn't too sure what this little one was going to be...so I just got it this....." ::He unfurled a baby blanket. If it was a baby blanket this it was the richest most opulant baby blanket in history. It was basically a thin goose down blanket of the softest material he could find. The thread in this was gold in color, but the blanket itself was a sea green. Embroidered on one side was the letter "T" in a fancy, swirling design of gold and silver thread:
::It appeared Jack had saved some of his share of the El Dorado gold for his friends. It showed in the Black Pearl as well. The ship had never looked so grand. It had been repainted and cleaned from top to bottem with the utmost care::
::Then he also took out a small leather pouch of brown leather. and pressed it to Will's hand:: "It's a few trinkets ye might want....." He said with a nod. Inisde was a assortment of gems and golden nuggests. Some of the last remenants of El Dorado. ::
::Jack smiled, pleased to see his friend safe and sound:: "So....with all that out of the way, how have you been Turner?"#nosmileys

* The salty wind whipped her hair on her face and making it flush. She leaned against the wooden raling and glared at the island until she could cleary see them, faces and all. The smell of the town over whelmed her, whether it was the scents of the bakeries or the fresh bloomed flowers that were abundant near the shore.*
* The plot of the anchor caught her off gaurd and she braced herself before she had chance to fall over board. Her hands follwed the ships edge stopping at the bow. Her eyes became fixed upon a comapny of three, four counting the small bundle they held in their arms. She noted to herself that as tempting as it was, that no plundering would be allowed in Port Royal and was comfortably reminded by Jack.*
*Maria turned back as Jack hopped off the ship and headed toward the Turners and Sarah. A grin forming on her face she too hoped off after Jack and ran towards Sarah. She embraced her then backed away. *
"'Ello Sarah, love... 'ow've ye been?"
ooc-- thanks Will!!!!!

Sarah smiled at Will and Elizabeth's reaction. They all quickly ate then went to the docks. They al took turns holding the baby and were there quickly. Sarah smiled as Jack greeted them. 'ello Jack! How are you. Sarah smiled when she saw Maria and Rhys on deck. She gently patted Elizabeth's back, letting her know that she'd be on deck. Let me know if you'd like me to hold the 'ickle one. I'm sure those on deck would be delighted to see him! Sarah swiftly left her side and was soon on deck.
'ello Maria, Rhys. 'ow are you? ow's the trip bin? Sarah smiled, realizing that when she was on the ship she sounded more like a pirate.

"Trip's been fine. We've been 'itin' some storn 'ere an there bu' other than tha' we've been sailing smoothly..."
* She said speaking over the high winds. She glanced behind Sarah where Elizabeth, Will, and Jack stood then back at her friend*
" So 'ow 'ave ye been Sarah is life treatin' ye good? Visi'in the Turners from time te time?"
* She cocked her head slightly yo the side and gave off a small grin. Sarah had looked slightly different and perhaps she did too. She hadn't a mirror in the past year, having it fall over board during one of her ridiculous antics. *
*She secured an an unruly lock behind her ear and pursed her lips brining her sleeve up to her mouth to sheild her chapped lips from the vigorous wind*

* Roxanne glaced beyond the pole and fixed her attention on the large ship headed toward the port. Her saphirre eyes could not part from the magnificent site. She knew the ship well, for years she had heard of its tales and someday hoped she could see it for herself. *
* Roxannes eyes widened as it drew closer. Soon she could clearly make out every face on deck and was awed when she caught site of its captain. Something then snapped in her she looked over at the sun dial and noticed that she had been late for work. Leaving the port she took one last glance at the magestic sight of the Pearl and was back on her way.*
***
"Your late Roxanne!"
*She heard as she pushed her way through the crowded pub until she finally came up to the counter*
"Ye were spossed te be 'ere an' hour ago! Where in bloody 'ell were you, sleeping off! Per'aps I should give yer job te someone 'o will show up on time!"
* Her mouth hung open and she leaned over the counter, holding a blade to his throat. She wouldn't push the blade it and he knew it, she wasn't one to kill on such a small thing. It took more than that for her to do that action.*
" Shut yer mouth Maurice. This is only th' second time I've been late. B'sides I'm quitten after tomorrow."
* Her comment caught him dumbfounded. She lowered the blade and placed it back into a open slit in her corset. She glanced up seeing his expression and gave him a cold glare before passing over the counter and grabbing empty mugs to begin her shift. She started filling up each glass.*

Emma secured the anchor's line, then wiped her hands on her deep green sash as she surveyed the docks.God,had it only been a year?Time sometimes seemed to stand still on the islands she visited-Port Royal was persistant in its perfect, normal, peaceful style, just as Tortuga was perpetually infested with the lowest-and to Emma's mind, most interesting-specimens of human beings on the planet.
Will and Elizabeth were there on the docks, which was no surprise. She tugged on her bandanna to straighten it,then swung herself over the side of the Pearl and onto the wood below, landing with her usual catlike grace.Straightening, the young woman walked over to her old friends, smiling down at the bundle in Elizabeth's arms.
"Beautiful, mates, jus' beautiful...looks jus' like ye,Will!"She beamed."The two of ye have my condolen---congratulations!"With a wink, she glanced over at Rick, who had taken the more conventional route of walking down the gangplank.
The tall man smiled at Emma, green eyes sparkling."Aye,'s a handsome lad...We're 'appy for ye."He wrapped an arm around Emma's waist, only half for the satisfaction of feeling her squirm, seeing that light blush rise to her cheeks, and hear her curse at him under her breath.Drawing her nearer,he whispered into her ear."What d'ye think ours'll look like,Em?Years from now, when we 'ave our own little 'uns...?"
Emma's usual smirk fixed itself on her face as she looked up at Rick, placing an oddly gentle hand on the side of his face.
"I'm 'opin' they'll 'ave my eyes, yer hair, and definately my brains,"she replied calmly, then ducked out of his embrace and walked off towards the town with her usual purposeful stride."Take care, mates,'m goin' t'see if that bar in the south'f town still 'as th' best rum in town!"
He watched Emma go with a cross between an adoring smile and a knowing smirk. When she had disappeared into the bustling crowd,he turned to Will."When y'get th' chance, mate, there's somethin' I'd like t'ask ye..."

Evelyn looked to Eric as he spoke to her about her offer. "Would you?" she asked lifting a curved brow and setting her face into a bit of a mischivious smile. "Done..." she told him with some finality before heading off towards Jack. When she had returned and Eric handed back her dagger she shook her head and sighed heavily. "or...it COULD jus' be yer no bloody good with a blade Eric." She said with a bit of a laugh and an nearly scolding look.
"I saw that little act." she stated taking the blade and placing it into the leather scabbard and then looking out at the docks as the ship made its way into port and docked. "Will's there...perhaps ye should go say yer hello's...go an' catch up with 'im." she told Evelyn with a nod. "In the meantime...I'll be practicin' that 'no touchin' ye' act ye needed ta see." Evelyn mused with a playful wink, and then, keeping her hands strictly to herself, walked away and headed below decks before going out into the crowd.
"Bloody Turner's..." she muttered as she headed into her cabin to ready herself. She knew this place was technically untouchable and off limits to her and the rest of the crew due to Jack's attachment to it, but Evelyn never really understood why he kept such good watch over it. It she had it her way they'd have the Turner's live with them aboard the ship and then they could pillage the hell out of the island...but on second thought...Evelyn highly doubted she could stand a screaming child aboard the ship...or actually...she dealt with it everyday with THIS crew...so perhaps it wouldn't be so bad. A small grin spread across her face at the thought.
Once inside their cabin Evelyn then took up her two blades and strapped them around her calf, hidden partically by her boot but easily accesible. The blades themselves were nothing too special, but they served their purpose. Their worn black, leather, handles were a familiar touch for her and in a scrap were a deadly asset. Her cutlass was a rather new addition to her collection of blades. With the bit of gold from El Dorado she and Eric had been able to buy a few things here and there and she had spent a bit on this. The cutlass' blade gleamed and had been sharpened and honed to perfection. The handle was of solid silver and her initials were etched into the blade.
The blade Jack had given her she tied to her belt as well, Evelyn might be told she couldn't stir any trouble in Port, but she'd be damned if she went anywhere unarmed, especially with so many Naval forces about. Evelyn gave a bit of a jangle with every step she took now, due to the many accessories that hung off of her. Then, before she strode out, Evelyn took up small rag of a deep brown and tied it about her wrist, an attempt to hide the mark she had gotten naught but a year or so ago. The P brand marked her for what she was and would always be.
Heading out on deck she spotted the Turner's practically being flooded by the rest of the crew and gave a smirk. It took a moment alone for Evelyn to get used to the steady feeling of solid ground. The ships rocking was something familiar, THIS however, wasn't.
She ran a hand decorated with silver rings through her curls and smiled at the slow beginning day. A small rumble was heard in the distance and she cringed. Her honey eyes shifted to Eric briefly and she wondered exactly how long he could go without her touching him at all...or rather...how long she could go herself...
But Evelyn had too much pride and she knew in the end her stubborness would hold out. She knew the poor bugger couldn't last too long without her.
Evelyn gave a small chuckle at Emma's comments to Will and Elizabeth and noticed how Emma had quickly ducked away from Rick's meager attempt at an embrace. A smirk crossed her face and she shook her head. " Hey, hey! Its the Euny an' his miracle..." Evelyn mused as she strode over towards him and Elizabeth and gazed down at the child. She smiled down at it warmly. " 'E's got 'is father's face." she smirked and then looked to Elizabeth and lowered her voice. "Le's hope tha's the ONLY thing he inherited from him." She said with a wink.

The Pearl was in the port and the anchor dropped. Mark leaned over and shook Sam awake. He saw Will and Elizabeth waiting as well. He dropped them and their young one a grin. He'd seen Will around town but never really talked to him much. Soon the crew was off the boat, and he wasn't at all surprised to see them pour past him. He went up to the group where everyone was sharing stories. He moved over to Will and bent down and greeted the young man next to him. Then he drew the mob to a silence and gave an announcement.
"Good to have you all back in Port Royal. Sam and I would be delighted if you would join us for dinner at my house later tonight, say around 7? Then we could all catch up and spend the night swapping stories and such."
Mark yelled happily. He was kinda happy to see Eric and Evy, and especially Rhys. The three of them, besides Will were the only ones that seemed to really like him. He made his way over to Eric and Evy. He grinned upon seeing them. He thought of them as his true friends, they seemed to like him and he liked them.
"Well hello you two! Long time no see eh? I see you two have made up. I hope you'll join Sam and I for dinner tonight. It has been a long time indeed...too long if you ask me. How could I live this long without having you two do something stupid that I have to go in and save you. Though it seems I was the one that needed the saving on that trip heh heh."
He didn't feel comfortable around Jack anymore. He knew he should try to forget about it but it still hurt. He made his way over to him.
"Captain Jack Sparrow! Not even a hello? Well I am sure you are tired. Come to dinner tonight and I'll feed you and your crew up nice. It'll be a blast!"
He said the Captain. He meant it would be a blast quite literally. He looked back at the Pearl and grinned.
"Well mates I'd like to stay and chat but I have some things to attend to. I hope to see you around. I'm awfully cruious to know why you came back to this God forsaken rock. See you later."
He said to the crowd and made his way into town.
Sam stood looking at all the strangers. He remembered a few of them from a long time ago. Several of them came to the shop for weapons and ammo. He remembered the girl Mark had spoken to, what was her name? He thought hard, he wasn't too good with names.
"Evy!"
He blurted out. He felt like an ass. He quickly gathered himself and began to play as if he'd done it on purpose.
"I remember you. How could I forget such a pretty face eh? I see you are without your pistol. Did you lose it or is it still on the ship for safe keeping?"
He tried to play it cool but he felt like such an ass. He grinned at her and tried to keep himself from laughing. He made an ass of himself a lot, so he thought he would get used to it, but he never did.
"I trust you and yours will be going over to Mark's house tonight. the poor lad could use some friends. He has been feeling rather lonely since the death of his mother. I must be going, I still have work to do at the gun shop. Drop by if you want to replace your weapon."
Sam said to Evy with a grin. He gave a slight bow and moved on towords the shop.
Mark made it to the shop and put on an old apron and went to work. He went to the back room and looked at the package of explosive on the counter, he grinned and then went out into the shopping area. Behind the shopping area, where the guns were displayed and sold, was the "factory" where they were made. He had a small staff now so he didn't have to do all the work anymore. He still made most of the weapons though, because he liked to make each one unique. He sat at the front counter in the display room carving the butt of a new riffle. It had a deer and a fox on it in a wood. He was rather happy with it. when he finished it he took to the back to get it finished. He went back to the front desk and took out his father's sword. He polished it and sharpened it. His eyes grew moist. He held back his emotions, he found it best that way. He put the sword away and waited for customers. Business was strangely slow today.

Evelyn had suddenly torn her attention away from Elizabeth as suddenly Mark made his way towards them and she beamed at him. "Mark!" She called out to him as he approached and she found herself giving him a warm embrace. It took Evelyn a lot to warm up to anyone, but with Mark she had sensed an instant liking that she just had with certain people. "Missed US doin' somethin' stupid? If I'm not mistaken, MARK, YOU were the one who ended up bein' attacked by a bloody monkey when you first landed in Central America..." she said slyly and giving him a bit of a nudge.
"An' o' course I'll be showin' up at yer place fer dinner." Evelyn stated looking over her shoulder at Eric and then looking away not wanting to give him any sort of attention. She wanted him to suffer...just how long could he really stand without her? She gave a small laugh at this thought but then shook it from her mind as another man called her name.
"Hm?" Eve asked as she turned her honeyed eyes about and they landed upon a young man. Evelyn eyed him curiously and then lifted a brow. He mentioned her having a pretty face and she blushed somewhat but bit her lip and hoped the tanned tint of her skin would be enough to cover that up. "A pistol! Oh, in fact...findin' myself a new pistol would be a fine idea..." she said as she strode over to him. "I think I'll jus' join ye on yer way to the shop then." Evelyn grinned and walked beside him.
She entered the shop, following Sam closely. Looking around the gun shop her eyes widened a bit at all the fine pistols and she hoped something would be found that would fit her just like the pistol before.

Sam was delighted to have Evy come with him. He was happy to finally meet her, Mark had said some wonderful things about her. They entered the shop and he waved to Mark. He snatched an apron and waved to Evy.
"Back to work."
He said happily as he went to the back room. Sam enjoyed working at the shop.
"Good afternoon my dear Evy. What can I do for you?"
Mark said as he hugged her. He knew right away.
"Looking for a new pistol eh? Well there are a few hundred to choose from. What do you think of my new shop? Way bigger than the old one. I opened it shortly after we got back."
He leaned against the front counter and motioned for her to have a look around.
"I'm sure you will find one to your likeing. We've all worked hard to make sure each one is perfect, and unique. I'll throw it in for free...just a token of my appretiation for your kinidness."
He said with a grin. He liked to talk to Evy. He felt comfortable around her for some reason.

Rhys had slowly been put to work, double checking knots and helping to furl sails. It usually was a long process, but perhaps that was just because Rhys was used to working with less hands in the night. Quickly enough, they made their way into port. As soon as people began to disembark she gazed out at the town. She did not want to be here. But then again, she needed to get off the ship.
Sarah approached her, but she ignored her. Rhys didn't intend to be mean, but she just didn't want to talk at the moment. She had too many thoughts in her head. She was back in the place of her birth, the place of her parents death, the place her brother died, and the place she first.. was touched. She shook her head trying to get the thoughts out of her mind, but it wasn't working.
Blue eyes scanned the dock, searching for any familar faces. She did not want to be recognized, or remembered. It could result in some dire consequences. She had enough charges lined up to have her killed. Her eyes fell on Mark, a man she had once found in the middle of the jungle. He was kind, a kind face in a sea of danger.
He was turning to go, when she finally saw him. Without thinking, she snuck of ship and followed him, through the windy city. She watched as he stepped into a gun shop. She remembered something he had said, and she decided that this had to be his shop. Quietly, she opened the door and followed him in. He had been polishing a sword when she came in, and she sat down in a corner, nearly out of sight. She watched him, but her eyes were distant revealing that she was lost in her own thoughts.

Evelyn smiled at him and then looked about the very large shop. Much had changed since the last time she saw the shop. Her eyes scanned the shop and she found a few that were quite fine but Evleyn was never really too interested in getting anything too showy. "Nah...I'll go ahead an' pay fer my pistol thanks." she told him as she picked up a pistol with a silver trigger and a silver etching of an elegant E on the handle. "I think I'll jus' take this one though." Evelyn stated as she placed the gun in front of him and looked about.
"Nothin' too fancy...'m not too good with the fancy...things tend ta get stolen or broken with me." she told him in a rather low tone and offereing a wink. She took out a bag of gold coins and flicked him a couple. "I'll be seein' ye later on this evenin' then, savvy?" she asked lifting a brow and giving him a smile. Then looking his face over carefully she gave a small remark before heading out. "Ye know Mark...yer really not all THAT horrid ta look at mate...ye should get yerself a girl..." she told him then exited the shop and looking about the streets.
