:Jack gave Evy a sly grin: "I don't think we've much a choice except ambushin' savvy?"
:His voice was almost eerily calm. The black dot on the horizon was growing larger. sails soon appeared and the Jolly Rodger that Jack flew only when they were on the open sea, whipped in the wind. His sharp eyes could make out a bit of movement on the deck, a tiny blur on the deck:
:They were catching up. Jack smiled. Barbossa would pay.:

Apollo nodded at Linea, and arched up a bit higher into the sky, and turned back to the Hell's Revenge. Then he turned towards the Black Pearl. The wind was mild now, it could be stronger.
"We must hurry, Hermes." He said carefully. "we could summon the West Wind to us, give Jack a small boost. it would speed him on his way, if you know what I mean."
His gold eyes looked at Linea. "You might have been safer on the ship with Jack and the crew."

:Linea dropped her eyes and tried to smile. He was thinking of what's best for her and she knew it. In her heart she knew Roux was right and nodded to him.:
If you think it is best, then I shall stay on the ship. I know what you're doing is probably the best decision anyway, so we might as well go back.
:She tried hard to keep the bitterness and discontent out of her voice, but she was sure she didn't. Linea sighed as she looked from the Pearl to the Hell's Revenge.:

Apollo raised a eyebrow and looked at Linea. he didn't want her getting hurt, but then again, he knew she wanted to see her cousin. He smiled a little.
"You can stay with me." He said carefully. "But, stay close. I'm not sure what to expect. Probably a lot of gunfire at the very least." He thought about it a while. To bad he'd feel guitly dropping Linea off someplace safe. Or giving her to the West Wind to hold for him until they got back.
He thought about suggesting the idea to her and then decided not too, she wanted her cousin. He couldn't blame her.

:She looked at Roux and how concerned he seemed for her safety. Linea knew he was doing this just for her and didn't want him to get hurt either. So she turned to him and smiled grimly.:
Roux, do what you think is best. I'm sure my cousin is alright, it's just I don't know...I fear for her is all. But if you think it's best that I go back to the ship than I will abide by your wishes. I know you know more than I do and those things that are best for my safety and that of others.

Apollo smiled. "I've been alive long enough to know that keeping a person from their loved one can often cause more harm then good. "
the god smiled then gave her hand a small sqeeze. "Just stay near, that's all I ask from you."
Then he looked back towards Hermes. "Do you have a plan?"

:She squeezed his hand tightly.:
I won't ever leave your side.
:Linea stayed silent and waited for Hermes to answer Roux.:

In any other scenario, Hermes would have long since teased his brother to Hades and back; however, his mind was elsewhere, and though he could keep a convincing guise of cheer up, his heart simply wouldn't've been into his teasing.
"My lady," he said to Linea brightly, bowing in midair (quite a sight, especially when said god was wearing a winged hat and winged shoes). In response to Roux's question of strategy, Hermes shrugged, flipped over so that he was lying on his back, and replied casually, "Why think of a strategy? Simply go in, whisk them away - that'll be your cousin, Miss Linea, and my young charge - before the pirates even know what's going on. Wipe the whole event from their minds, if we must. I don't think it'll be necessary, though, they'll discredit it if we're quick enough..."
The response was typical Hermes. He was blunt and spoke his mind - while he was clever, he usually took the easy way out (and to the infuriation of many of the gods, it often worked...)

Roux sort of smirked at his brother.
"have you learned nothing about tampering in the affairs of mortals, young brother of mine?" He gave his brother a slight smack on the shoulder.
"you should know that diving into the world of humans can cause somewhat of a mess. I would suggest something slightly more, delicate perhaps?"

* Maria was growing anxious. She went to lower deck to the cannons. Sitting atop of one she took out her dagger and a stone. She began to scrape the two together, sharpening the weapon. She saw the vison draw closer and closer, and with every step towards the ship she scraped faster and faster until she dropped her stone and dagger. She hopped down and picked them both up. She threw the stone out the cannon hole and stuck the dagger back into its sheath.
She looked around and seen they needed hel with the loading of the cannons. So she grabbed a couple lead cannon balls and placed them to the side of each and every cannon for fast loading.*

Post by Captain Morgan Barbossa on Jun 23, 2004 16:29:16 GMT -5
::Barbossa rolled over onto his side, trying to ignore the bright sunlight pouring in through his cabin window. He was so tired... He would have to speak to Damien and Selina about the noise, as he was sure they kept half the crew up till the wee hours of the morning with their, erm, activities::
::Groaning becuase he knew he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep now, the pirate captain rolled out of his bed and stood up. He stretched, then pulled on a light tunic, pants, and his usual mottled blue coat::
::Walking out onto the deck, he was greeted by a perfectly clear blue sky and bright shining sun. He cursed under his breath. He was is no mood today::
::After meandering around for a while, Barbossa decided to go talk to their other captive, the mysterious Callisto. He hadn't been sure what to make of her at first, and truth be told just having her on board was a bit unnerving. But he felt that there was something she knew, something of great importance to him... so he made up his mind to talk to her, to find out what she could tell him about Jack Sparrow::
::He went down to the separate room where they were keeping here, unlocked the door, and slid inside. Because there were no windows in the room, it was completely dark, so he lit a small lantern by the door and held it up so he could see his captive::
" 'Allo, Callisto... fine day, ain' it?" ::A dark grin covered his face::

::Callisto's eyes went over to Barbossa, she frowned:: "as fine as it can be in the company of a heartless man who cares only for himself.......yes I suppose it is a fine day......"
:her lavender eyes fixed on him and bored into him: "I'm growing tired of this ship, and the company I'm forced to keep, you can drop me off at the nearest island I and I promise that when I kill you it will be a swift and relativly painless death....."

Hermes smirked in return. "Dear brother, you are simply jealous that my hare-brained schemes often turn out working just perfectly. However, I may have to agree with you on this one..."
Suddenly, he freezes, sensing something. Only his wingtips twitch as he stands very still, an expression of intense, serious concentration on his face. When he finally moves again, it's to face Apollo and speak, silently, three simple words: "They have her."

Apollo looked over at Hermes, and nodded. he paused then glanced back towards Jack's ship. "Should we wait?"
Privately, he felt this was the best idea. But, well, he wasn't overly fond of the idea of leaving the lady who held the key to immortality with the likes of Barbossa.
"We could go down to see if she's alright at the very least. And check on the others. Jack should come soon."

"We should check, definitely," Hermes said decisively. In times where quick thinking was necessary, Hermes often took charge, keeping a cool head under pressure. "At least make sure Callisto, Kora, and Hawk are all right...if any immediate action is necessary, we'll think about what to do then. But we'll be cloaked, if we just watch no one will notice..."
