Hey all! This is going to be the official sign-up thread for all those wanting to participate in the coming RPG to be announced. At the moment, ideas are only stewing and here is where we'll come up with the basis for the plot. Of course, it should be kept as a loose outline, but one so that we don't end up getting lost and have a clear idea of what our goal is going to be throughout the RPG. This should be able to keep us all on some sort of similar track to follow.
With Jack gone seemingly for a good long while, that still doesn't mean his crew can't have a little fun! In all honesty, I've been hoping for a new RPG for a long while and maybe this time we can keep it running through to the end.
Rules: 1. Sign-Up! Declare you are interested in being part of the RPG and include your character's name, a brief description of his or her past, and appearence. All a bit of a refreshing exercise for us all I think!
2. Begin tossing out ideas! This RPG is going to be as good or bad as we make it!
3. Be respectful of others ideas

Sign up time!Uber-woot!
Character #1!
Christiana O'Riley
Christiana was born eighteen years ago somewhere in Tortuga, but doesn't know where exactly. Her mother, a barmaid of decidedly questionable virtue, abandoned her as soon as was plausible, and she only survived her early childhood because of the kindness of an old, retired sea captain living in the city's outskirts. He raised her as his own child until his death, when he left her everything he owned. She was thirteen then, and try though she might, she had soon been robbed of any valuables.
Never one to give up easily,Christiana continued living in the captain's old house, going into business as a pickpocket, which she did happily for about two years.
One night, after the local taverns had started kicking people out,she tried to steal from a pair of large, drunken men.One of them caught her,and they dragged her into an alley, leaving her half-dead in the gutter a few hours later. It was a month before she recovered physically, and the mental scars are still evident.
On one of the first nights after this incident when she dared to leave her home again, she saw the men who had humiliated her. Before they had a chance to recognize her, or she had a chance to think, she had killed both of them. Later that night,a man approached her, citing her prowess as a fighter and her beauty, and offered her three hundred shillings to kill an enemy of his.She has been in business as an assassin ever since.
Christiana is detatched, and cold beneath a warm exterior. Her alliegance remains yet to be seen...
Physical description:
A young woman, slightly over five and a half feet tall. Her long, blonde hair is always immaculately kept, and she carries herself with the confidence of a woman experienced in many of life's aspects. Small golden hoops hang from her ears, and an array of sashes and shawls adorn her waist,on top of a well-mended blue skirt.Though slender, she wears her dark red bodice tightly laced over a white chemise. Her hands are soft, unaccustomed to menial labor and more suited for tasks requiring delicate precision. Her eyes,a deep hazel, carry whatever expression will get her closer to her latest target.
Whee!Haha,and she has a secret,too...most of you probably know it,but don't tell!

Oh god i am so gonna pay for this.. BUT I CANT STAY AWAY!!!!! I'm not promising anything, but maybe just maybe i will participate. I'll sign up at least, but dont count on me. *huggles everyone and pokes Christina* Assassin ey? Kat just might have a word with you about who's better lol.
Alright ye all know me but here goes.
Saber Kate Tompson & Katherine Ameila Tompson (yes i know its spelled wrong)
Tomas Tompson came to Tortuga when he was just a young man; he took to the life of pirating right away. However a few years later he fell in love with a rather nice looking girl one of the few respectable people on that entire island, if there are any at all. The girl’s name was Amelia, Amelia Hunman. She would have nothing to do with Tomas, and so broke the young man’s heart. He decided that for a bit he could give up piracy so as to marry Amelia. Unfortunately his scheme worked. Amelia fell in love with what she thought was a respectable sailor, her father gave agreement to the match, and the two were married. Soon after Tomas revealed himself and actually apologized to his wife for deceiving her. Amelia was shocked but soon was over it all and made her life go on as usual. About three years later she gave birth to a little girl and they named her Katherine Amelia Tompson. Tomas always thought that the name was to long so he would call her his little Kat. Around that time Tomas went back completely to his pirate life, drinking, gambling, killing, and other things of an unsavory nature. When his second daughter was born he began to look around for a ship that he could crew on. Finally he found the one he wanted. The Black Pearl captained by Jack Sparrow. With much pleading, dishonesty, and violence he managed to find a place onboard. With barely a word to his wife he sailed off only coming back every now and then. Their second daughter began to grow up without a name, so Amelia took it upon her self to name her. Her name became Sarah Kate Tompson. The two little sisters barely even knew they had a father, but their mother did not deceive them into thinking that their father was a good man. Kat and Sarah could have cared less. Their mother could not both watch them and work at the tavern where she had been given a job. So as they grew older they began to roam over Tortuga. They were barely seven and five years old, yet the two girls found they could live on their own. They learned how to get food and money, dishonestly of course, and they saw many things that would cause a girl of their age over in England to run crying to her mother. Not so with them. Kat especially enjoyed all of the fighting and killing. Sarah not as much but she didn’t have a problem with it. Later that year when Amelia had managed to get both of her daughters in their small house at the same time, Tomas came back. They were not expecting him and he came in drunk and upset. They never did find out why. Amelia quickly shooed her daughters outside as she normally did when her husband came home. It was dark out and Kat and Sarah stood with their ears to the door trying to find out what was happening. They heard their mother greet their father and set some food before him. After some strange noises it was quiet and the girls lost interest. Just as they were about to go see if anything about the town was interesting they heard loud noises from inside the house. A scream, a crash, curses, and silence once more. Sarah looked up at her sister in confusion, but Kat was like wise looking at her younger sister. They had never heard their mother scream the way she had just then done. Kat pushed something into Sarah’s hand and with a few words of comfort dashed off into the night. Sarah could tell from the direction that Kat went that she was off to get the Tavern keeper that mother worked for. Sarah sat down in the dark and tried to see what Kat had given her. It was a small gold pendant that Tomas had given to Amelia and Amelia had given to Kat. For the pendant was indeed shaped like a small alert kitten. Sarah slipped the chain over her neck and hid it inside the small boy’s shirt that she wore. Seconds later the door opened, and Tomas stood framed in the lamp light. For the first time in her life Sarah screamed. Her father had blood on him and Sarah could only guess what had happened. Tomas couldn’t bring himself to kill his daughter so as to get rid of any evidence of what happened so scooping the child up covered her mouth and ran, not thinking clearly enough that he had two daughters. Kat showed up at the house with the Tavern keeper only to find the door open, a chair broken, and her mother dead on the floor with blood on her. Sarah and Tomas were gone. After getting over it all Kat lived with the Tavern keeper, and lived as if nothing had happened. When she was ten years old she learned how to use a sword but was never really good at it. Her passion and skill came in her aim with a gun and throwing knives. You know the rest of her story and It is true, but what really happened to Sarah? Tomas ran along the streets of Tortuga till he came to the docks. He got aboard the Pearl and hid Sarah, after rendering her unconscious, in his bunk. The ship left the dock the next morning, and Sarah awoke with the gentle rocking of the ship. She pushed the blankets and clothes aside that Tomas had used to cover her up. She stood up on the bed just as she did every morning back in Tortuga. However she didn’t take account that a buck is much lower than a ceiling and whacked her head on the bunk above her. She made only a small noise but it was overheard by another crew member who on after seeing her grabbed her hand and dragged her above deck. The crew member showed her to Captain Jack Sparrow and he began to debate with his second mate Barbossa what to do with the child. Barbossa wanted to just toss her over the side, while Jack said they should go back to Tortuga and put her back on shore. Tomas saw what was happening and interceded for his daughter. Sarah meanwhile had managed to pickpocket Barbossa and had a hand on his large pistol when the three came to an agreement that she should stay on board but should do her share of work. They turned to find her and saw what she was doing. At that even Barbossa heartily agreed to let her stay. She was young yet she was already an expert at stealing things. Sarah had thought they would all be upset with her when they saw what she was doing but instead they laughed and Jack told Tomas to find her a bunk. Years passed onboard the Pearl and Sarah learned to fight with sword, dagger and how to shoot. She showed skill with a blade and had a way with making things disappear and reappear. Sarah learned how to climb the rigging and how to set and furl a sail. She learned all that she needed to know about ships and how to live in a violent world. When she was about ten years old she realized the danger that a young girl could have aboard a pirate ship and told Captain Jack her plan. She decided to go ashore somewhere, “die” and then come back as a boy. Jack discussed this over with Barbossa and they agreed it was a good idea. So she carried out her plan, after going ashore she disguised her self and stole some clothes that would help her hide that fact she was a girl. Then Jack went ashore. He came back with the news that Sarah was dead and that he had brought back a young boy that he had met to fill in for her work. It fooled most of the crew but a few knew what had really had happened. Life went on till later that year Jack Decided to try to find the Is De Matura. This eventually resulted in the famous mutiny, something that Sarah who had now acquired the name Samuel and then consequently the name Saber, had nothing to do with. However she didn’t want to be thrown overboard, marooned, or otherwise killed so she quietly went along. Years afterward she told people that she left the ship soon after that event, before Barbossa even got to the cursed Is. But this was not true. She saw the cursed Is. And even went on it, however believing in the curse, would not touch the chest or its contents. She spent several more years with the crew, Barbossa being the only one who really knew that she was a girl. Guess the rest of that… Saber eventually told the crew who she really was and then just disappeared. She was about sixteen when that happened. She spent the next six years in different ports eventually ending up in Port Royal. While in one port she had a child whom she started to raise but then had to leave because of the authorities. Saber thought that Cate died soon after that. She tried to live a life of decency while in Port Royal but it didn’t out work too well. Barbossa attacked the port for the second time while she was there. She found Jack and went back to her old life as a pirate on The Black Pearl. The rest you know for certain…or do you?
Geez that thing is long. A few extra things you might want to know about Saber and Kat
Saber went on to kill her own father. Kat became one of the best assassins around. Saber & Kat were reunited and then later were both reunited with Cate, Saber's daughter (who I am not signing up for this RPG for various reasons *pokes Barbossa and grins*) Saber was captured and marooned by Barbossa at one point. Saber, Kat and Cate all left Jack's crew for a short while and lived in Tortuga (where Kat was almost killed, Saber almost died of an infection and Cate was kidnapped by some local ruffians... but thats another story)
Well there ye have it mates. You want to know more? Dare to ask.
Oh and yeah appearence umm...
Saber - A small woman of about 26 years I think now? It depends if were planing on spining back the clock or not. She Always wears a sabre at her side and at least three knives hidden on her body. She will not use guns if she doesnt have to. She goes around wearing a white shirt and a pair of fitted blue pants. A green sash hangs about her waist. Her hair is not cut short, and is brown. Her eyes blue. Her skin tan, and cut with scars. At this point she does drink (unless we rewind)
Kat - A small woman although taller then Saber of about 28 years. Never has less then two guns and four knives on her body at one time. Most of her sharp pointy things are poisoned. She carries a flash of poison on her belt. She wears brown pants, a blood stained shirt, and a bright green vest. An odd colored cloak hangs from her shoulders when she walks about town. Her hair is vibrant red, her eyes are green, and her skin pale. He temper is Irish. (got it from her grandfather.)

:dances,as she's finally been able to get back on her Emma account:Okay! My other two characters!
And for the record,Saber dear,I wouldn't say either's better. They've just got different ways of working-Christiana is by no means above using her femenine charms to get close to someone. In a straight fight,Kat could take her any day. But then, no one sane would conciously be alone with Kat, which makes operating in secrecy a tad difficult...
All right!Here I go!
Emma Hawkins
Age 23, of average height. Long reddish-brown hair, and bluegreen eyes. Never, ever, under any circumstances, wears women's clothing. Dresses primarily in once-white shirts, a tall pair of black boots, and tattered blue or black trousers, with various belts, sashes, and pieces of jewelry (nothing too jingly,it's bad when you're trying to hide) depending on who she's been robbing lately. Always wears a black bandanna with the moon and stars in silver on it. She carries an almost unsettling number of weapons, mostly out of paranoia-two knives in the right sleeve and three in the left, another on her belt, and three in each boot; a well-made,stolen sword at her side; and a pair of pistols tucked into her belt. Also, carries a small flask of rum.For emergencies, you know.
Richard "Rick" MacKinnon Age 24, and quite tall.Long, messy black hair, usually tied into a ponytail in a vain effort to keep it from getting in the way. Green eyes, and moderately tanned skin. Rick dresses simply, in white shirts and black pants and boots.Compared to Emma, he sometimes comes off as passive. But really, comparing to Emma in that respect isn't really fair.
Backstory time! You're getting the quick version, since the long version is probably posted a dozen times on this site...
Emma was born in London, the only child of a wealthy silk merchant. Her mother died in childbirth, so she was raised primarily by the household servants. She argued with her father since around the time she learned to talk, thanks to his overprotective nature and her need to see something outside of the house. It didn't really help that she was horrible at sewing and cooking, and reluctant to follow orders from anyone other than her father himself, and even he got dirty looks when his back was turned. This had little effect, and she still spent most of her childhood in her father's house or in the adjoining stables, distracting the stable hands from their work by talking at them.
When Emma was almost thirteen, her father decided to move to the Carribean, because many of his clients were located there.Soon enough, the household had been packed up and loaded onto a ship, along with Emma, her father, and those of the servants willing to move so far. They were almost to their destination, when their ship was boarded by pirates. Emma, hidden in the storeroom, watched between stacks of supplies as they stormed the ship. The pirate captain, a tall man with red hair and a bushy beard, had said to kill any who resisted, and the pirates did just that.
She watched silently, shaking in fear, until they found her father. Singled out as a man of wealth, he was dragged before the captain, but when he disclosed that all of his money and goods were already on the ship, the tall man pulled out a gun and shot him between the eyes. Emma cried out as the shot went off, alerting the men to her prescence. She was quickly captured, and a discussion was had as to her fate.
When it was discovered that the only person who would have payed any significant ransom for her had just been shot dead, most of the pirates seemed rather in favor of just killing her. But thinking quickly, Emma managed to convince them that she could be useful alive, and keep her on board for just a little while.
It turned out rather quickly that she wasn't very useful at all in the ways they'd predicted;she was absolute rubbish at mending things, and worse at cooking. Faced with death or worse, she persuaded a sympathetic sailor to teach her how to tie knots, and made herself useful by helping with men's work around the ship. Hands were short because of casualties in the battle, so her help was appreciated, and they decided to let her stay on a little longer.
Captain MacKinnon, meanwhile, had started to think. It was most definately unconventional to have a woman on board, and doubly so for such a young girl. This reminded him-- he had a son, about the same age, whom he'd promised to take sailing with him when he was old enough. This son,he decided, wouldn't be happy if he let some little girl sign on with the crew and not him. So off they went to Scotland, to get Rick.
Time passed, blah blah,Emma and Rick like being in pirates, grow up together, fall in love, aww, isn't that cute?,big battle, everyone but them dies, they each think they're the sole survivor, three years of misery and angst aaaaaaand happy reunion!Yay!
They're now on their own and looking for a ship to sign onto.
A little side note:Emma and Kat have been close friends for years. If you pick a fight with one of them, you pick a fight with both of them. And one of them would probably be fatal to begin with...

I'm definately in!
Characters' Name: Evelyn Pearl
History: Really brief. Born in London to a Frenchwoman, Marie, and Englishman, Thomas Pearl. Mother died of illness at early age, father was a mapmaker.
One day Captain Carcassas walks in demanding a map to some uncharted island because he's heard rumor Thomas knows about the place and has actually made the only map for it but Thomas refuses to give it to him because well, he doesn't ahve it as he gave it to some Spanish chap a while before. So he's shot and killed by him as a pirate raid went through town and her house burned to the ground.
Evy escaped on a Naval ship which turned out to be a pirate ship in disguise. Evy became in short, a slave and a bit of a erm...well "used" item. *pats her* Never really got over that but who would? Then she fell in love with a Spanish Naval Officer who promised her he would get her off that ship but never did and as a result of helping him escape their ship, she was whipped horribly thus, the ten lashes that scar her back. She was also shot in the shoulder once for trying to leave the ship and finally after a few episodes that got the Captain's character up for questioning, the Captain and crew of the Devils Wrath dumped her on an island to die but she didn't and escaped to Tortuga where she befriended Victoria, a very nice wench who taught her the ropes a bit.
Then Evelyn became part of the Black Pearl through a series of events too long to put here and here she is. Also, fell in love with a rather scruffy, freakishly tall, man named Eric with whom lots of drama has occured but they still remain happily together so yay! Erm....sort of....*grins evilly*
Appearence: Evy is 5'4 and a bit fleshier, not all thin as a rail or anything. She's got long brown curls that are just slightly past her shoulders. Her eyes are a warm honey brown color and she's usually wearing a plain tunic underneath a black leather corset with dark brown trousers on and thick worn leather boots.
She carries a cutlass at her side and a pistol in her crimson sash that she usually has tied comfortably around her waist. Her arms are loaded with jangling bracelets of all sorts of material whether its leather, beads, metal, or otherwise. She also wears a single long earring in her left ear with a single tiny red feather at the end of it.
Oh and geez guys! I ASKED for a brief history of your characters! haha!
Maria! The RPG is set to start maybe tomorrow, *Friday* but might officially begin on Saturday, Christmas Eve, I know sucks, but honestly its the only time I have off right now and I want to get it started now before school starts again or I won't have time to start it at all. I figure if its at least started now, when we're all back in school I can just come on here and post. Then everything should move on smoothly.

Amelia Miranda Turner/ Maria Elena Maharet
Physical Appearance: 5'7"//slim build//dark eyes//dark hair that falls past just her shoulders // wears an oversized white tunic (which serves more of a dress), black breeches and leather boots.
BRIEF history: Maria was born Amelia Miranda Turner some sixteen years(age varies depending on the time of he rpg) ago in England. She rarely, if ever, saw her father, and lived with her mother and two siblings (William and Sarah). Shortly after Maria turned three her mother grew very ill and passed away. Not long after that did her older sister, Sarah, run away......Left with Will inn search of their father. They became stowaways essentially. Hopping aboard ships in order to locate their father. Their search ended in the middle of the Caribbean, finding him at a seat port as they disembarked from one ship about to hop on another.......As a token of love and apology he gave her a bracelet. It was gold and engraved on were the intitials W.T. There came an unexpected raid in the middle of one night, leaving the ship in a burning wreck. Barely clinging to life, the small child was pulled aboard a ship. She had no memory of what happened, why she was at sea, or even who she was at all. Her mind seemed to be swept blank and she hadn't any recolection of her past, save that same golden bracelett....Once they arrived at the port in Tortuga, one of the woman who went by the name of Ana Beatriz Maharet, who grew fond of Maria over the period of the voyage, took the small child as her own. Under her, the name Amelia Miranda Turner was lost and she was granted the name Maria Elena Maharet.... Eventualy joined Jack's crew.... Found out through various events that she was indeed a turner.
((I might have to edit in some stuff again depending when it takes places))

Emma Dahling I never said one or the other was better, I simply suggested we could have a TON of fun with a "friendly" rivalry between the two assassins... that is if Christina wants to?
Oh and i have a question for plot maker, RPG leader Evy.
What time in the Jack history is this taking place.?Like give us a time line of what just happened... (ie. This is after the Turner twins have been born... or this is right after the RPG where the Turner twins were kidnapped by Barbossa...) or are we starting over back before Will and Elizabeth were married? We kinda need to know to get our character's histories and ages right.
Thanks!

Uh-oh. Tobbs's in trouble. I never sign up in the sign up thread BEFORE I post...*cough as remembers first ever pirate rpg on plaza and fact she got yelled at for not signing up first* bloody pirates... Ooo that is a good question Saberkat, and when Evy pokes around, I'll have to check in and see too. As my guess, it's earlier in the crew's history together, but not entirely new. Evy and Eric are together in rpg, as is Tobbs and Jack (I'm having their relationship be slightly new so Tobbs worries more ^.^). I'd say that Elizabeth and Will don't have the twins yet, or are perhaps in the process, must find Willolas and ask her about that *looks around and plans to send message* So since that made no sense at all, I'm looking for Evy! Oh, and the characters I'll be having in this RPG will be- Tobbs, Elizabeth Swann/Turner, and possibly someone evil to join Bossa's crew. I'll hunt through their descriptions and put them up when I get back! <<P.S. Maria I love new avatar and sig ^.^>>

Haha and Saber, I'm putting this as a bit early so Tobbs and Jack are a bit new, Eric and Evy have been together for a bit at least, and the twins I'd PREFER not having been born yet so Will and Liz are able to RPG with the crew a bit before the twins sort of tie them down. Not that erm kids are horrible little demons that Evy would NEVER want to deal with.....*whistles innocently*

Whoops forgot to post in here too. Okay so my Eric bio is huge and if you wanna see the whole thing just go take a sneak peak in the thread in the Book of Bios. Ill just summarize it here! Eric Jackson Age: 24ish, just depends on where the rpg is Description: Dark blonde hair, slightly long and tossed about on his head, dark brown eyes, 6’0 tall with a strong build. Usually wears loose fitting brown pants with black boots, a white baggy shirt and leather belt where he keeps his sword and pistol. Eric was born into a wealthy family with a blind little sister who was 2 years younger than him. Two greedy men who worked with his father Nathan for a trading buisness in London set Erics house on fire, killing his little sister. They framed his father who was hung in a public hanging and buried in a criminals graveyard. Eric was only 12 years old. He and his mother were left to fend for themselves on the streets until his mother secretley engaged in prostitution to keep Eric fed, clothed, and sheltered. When he found out about it he ran away while she slept, hoping it would give her a better life if she didn't have to support him. For four years he lived on the coast of England working as a dockyard hand for the Navy. For a brief stint he returned to London to see his mother, who died shortly after from Tuberculosis. Eric had come across one of the men who framed his father and without hesitation, murdered him and fled back to the coast. Knowing he would be caught eventually he and his close friend Braden (whom he met while working in the docks) snuck aboard a ship and eventually found their way to Port Royal. Eric made a living as a blacksmith and 2 years later met and fell in love with a wealthy woman named Ashley. They were engaged and shortly before their wedding, while the two were in a tavern, Ashley was shut by a pirate and died. Unable to deal with it Eric fell into a depression until one day he ran across a peculiar pirate woman whom he felt he knew. Long story short he eventually found out the woman was Evelyn, whom he'd met as a boy. She had taken him and his mother in for a brief time. Eventually he fell in love with her and chose to leave his life behind to stay with her upon the Black Pearl. Eric makes a horrible pirate, having little skill with a blade and pistol (despite his efforts to learn) hates rum and prefers land. None the less he enjoys the excitement the lifestyle offers and won't leave so long as Evelyn is there. Woot and there you have it, Eric in a nut shell! Still a bit long but hell I've written a whole book on his life so trust me, its a summary!

Oh P.S. Me and Tobbsy talked about it and decided Elizabeth and Will won't be in this RPG....can't remember if you all knew that or not! However when they are in it, they won't have the twins yet! Okay so was it determined where in the rpg's this one is at? Or have we decided to start over for the most part?
