Strongly built, 5'5, Hispanic lady. Long dark tresses, parched and dry from the sun's damage. Green eyes, and a beautiful face. Her beauty is widely known, and is her greatest tool. Often wears blue trousers, knee high boots, a green sash around the waist, and a fine spanish sword at her hip. Usually decked out in many rings.
Personality:
Selina is a hard as nails woman. Her past experience has led her to believe men are worthless and thus vows to never fall for a man, ever. She is a true pirate at heart and will kill anyone and anything that gets in her way without hesitation. Using her beauty to her advantage, she gets her name because she prays on those men that do fall into her trap. Attracted to her beauty, the gravitate towards them, and once she is finished with them, she leaves them dead. She is a smart woman, never doing anything without careful consideration, doesn't enjoy being told too much what to do, but has found that Barbossa's mind isn't too far from her own.
History:
Selina was born in Madrid, Spain. Her whole life had been a very pleasant, living quite lavishly, and loving it. She lived with her mother Corina in a grand home. Selina had been very privileged and learned the art of fencing, to duel, painting, and many other certain qualities which made her a fine lady. Selina was told her father was a man named Captain Carcassas. Selina had seen her father once every few years and when she did he was not a loving father. He would bring her aboard the ship and let her roam around, thus igniting her curiosity for a pirate’s life. When her father did come, he was a tough man, but showed her respect. Her respect for him would grow and she begged for her to join him aboard the Devil’s Wrath but he refused stating women weren’t allowed aboard.
Once upon a roam on the Devil’s Wrath, she came upon a woman, the ONLY female pirate aboard. The name she had later learned was Evelyn Pearl. Selina left believing she was her father’s mistress, and hated Evelyn for being the one woman her father had spent time with, and because Evelyn was the only one ever allowed upon the Devil’s Wrath.
One day, however, when she was barely 17 her father had returned. Unannounced and found that his wife, Corina, had been getting quite close to a certain Count. This enraged him and he eventually murdered Selina’s mother and the Count, leaving Selina to fend for herself. Oddly enough, Selina did not weep for the loss of her mother, learning that love is not something that was real, instead a tool to use to your advantage.
So leaving Spain, she made her way around by pirating. She looted and helped a small pirate ship and crew, the boat not even named, the crew was a rough band of runaways mostly. There she would learn all the skills of being a pirate. As Selina grew she learned that her looks were very much prized among the men of the crew, and soon, due to fear she might cause a fight amongst the crew, was tossed out and into Tortuga. From then on Selina scratched her living by manipulating others, using men for any purpose she needed, and then doing away with them. Thus, gaining her the nick name, The Black Widow.
Tales were told of her. The Black Widow was talked over all throughout the Caribbean, a warning to sailors for giving in to lust, and a pretty face.
Then fate came in and one day she picked the WRONG man to attempt to manipulate. She had not known this bearded man was Captain Barbossa, but when she had, it was too late. He had no heart, he was a black soul and therefore caught on to her game quicker than the rest. Before doing away with him he stopped her. If he wanted, Barbossa could have killed her that very night, but instead he smiled upon her. Barbossa had been waiting for a crew member like her and from then on has sailed by Barbossa’s side ever since.
