I wasn't sure if you wanted a bio like this, but it's the best I could do. If any of you really want to know Roux, the best place to meet him is in rpgs, which I've read from this site ad enjoy. I hope you won't mind me joining your games
Name: Roux,plain and simple. It's French,pronouced "Roo"
Age: Anyone's guess really. Not older then 35, not younger then 20.
Description: He's one of those people that is extremly attractive, but it unaware of this, and can't seem to understand it either. He stands at about six feet even, with a sort of lanky, cat like build on him. He's strong. You can tell when he moves, he's moving with a restrained sort of power. He has hazel eyes, and hair that at his birth had probably been a chocolate brown, but thanks to the Caribbean sun, it now has streaks of golden blonde. His face wouldn't be out of place in th old Greek statues of Apollo, or Ganymede, even Paris. But again, he never really gets it. Well, if he does, he doesn't pay attention.
History: He gets bored easy, and is amused just as quickly. Pirateing is just something that seemed to suit him for the time being. He's smart, clever, calm and absolutly self contained. Has never been a big talker, but observes people and their nature with the air of a person who finds the problems of people around him to be just as important and vital as the sun rising each day. He came across Jack's crew not long ago and decided it looked like fun. He joined, and dealt with a few snide remarks about his French blood but got over it quickly enough. In fact it's become a sort of running joke.
but here was the real story.
it had been almost five years since Roux had left his home, stowed away on a British merchant vessel and found himself in the Caribbean. As it turned out the first stop had been Tortuga. It was a place unlike anywhere Roux had been his entire life. Nothing but pirates, fighting, guns, rum and wenchs as far as the eye could see.
But oddly enough for some reason he was drawn to this life so diffrent then his own. he decided for no particular reason to become a pirate. He had no dark past, no parents killed to make him helpless and thus drawn into piracy by desperation, no scores to settle, nor any inclination to be rich. He just thought it would be interesting. On a whim.
The first ship he came to had been the Black Pearl. He'd met Jack Sparrow in a bar. Jack had commented that he could out drink anyone and still have enough brains about him to sword fight. Roux, thinking this was open challenge accepted.
He and the captain had drunk themselves silly, and had somehow become engaged in a fight together with a few other men. Roux had saved the captain from getting a good hit over the head with a chair by blocking it with his face. Of course that had never been the original intent. Roux had slipped and had gotten a face full of chair. but the Captain thought it was a purposeful block and offered Roux a place on his ship.:
:Dazed and somewhat confused, Roux accepted. When he had woken up from his hang over the morning after Roux was far out to sea, and he hadn't looked back since:
At least, that's the story he tells anyone who's willing to listen.
But here's a lot more going on then meets the eye. Roux's got a history, and place in Greece. and he's more then just a bit known there.
