*Throughout the week banners had been hung announcing the first ever boat/ship show that would be held in the port at Port Royale, hosted by Will Turner. He greets all those who enter their boats and ships in the show for all to see and admire. He clears his throat as he makes an announcement.* Hullo all and welcome to the boat/ship show. I hope those of you who enter your boats and ships enjoy showing them off and I hope those of who you come to see the ships and boats like what you see. Now go ahead and get started!
This isn't a contest so there will be no winner, its just to let everyone show off their ships and boats and to let people comment on what they are seeing.
Rules: ~Posts should be a fairly detailed description and please no pictures. ~Comments on ships are welcome but be kind *g* ~Simply describe your ship or boat, if you have a name tell it. Go into as much detail as you'd like, dont worry about long posts and have fun!

*Will coughs as no new boats are being shown.* Well alright then. I guess I'll show mine. It isn't much but it is a boat. *He said, leading those who cared to see it over to it.
It was a small boat, used for recreation and a relaxing sail with the family or with a few friends. It was nothing you would take on an adventure. It wasn't painted but instead polished to let the natural color of the dark wood show through. There were a couple sails that were snow white with a small flag blowing about at the top of the biggest one. It had the colors of England on it, although Will kept a pirate flag below deck for use when they were away from the port. The deck was neat and tidy and large enough to hold around 10 people. The railing was intricatly carved and stained dark brown. At the very front of the ship there was a bench that curved around, lining nearly the entire front half of the boat. Lifting different parts of the bench revealed compartments beneath. Then the carving on the front was of none other than the Turners good friend, Captain Jack Sparrow, with a bottle of rum carved out in his hand. There was a cabin that had inside it a small table with a bench on either side and a desk cluttered with maps, papers, and quills. Below deck was mainly used for storage and there was a good supply of rum stashed away in the cubboards below. There was a small crows nest resembling the one from Jacks sinking boat that was now on the sandy floors of the sea beneath the dock at Port Royale.
*Finally Will finished giving the tour of his little boat. He smiled and looked at the faces of those who had followed him.* Any questions or comments? *He asked.*

*Will smiled and nodded as Tobbs talked about the Jack and Rum carving. Then he laughed a little and looked at her.* You mean the compartments beneath the benches? Theres a few things like rum, swords and a couple pistols with shots. *Then Will grinned mischeviously and led her to one, lifting it up a little, revealing inside a few golden and silver trinkets and jewlery. He winked and put a finger to his mouth.* When we visit other islands, lets just say I dont like coming back empty handed.

:Jack.....being one for grand entrances waited a while before showing up.....indeed one would think he'd almost forgotten the show. But forget completly..not Jack:
:Sailing into Port Royal's grand harbor came the Black Pearl herself. Sails as dark as shadows on a moonless night, and made of mahogany the shipcut a grand apprance even among the Royal navy's ships. Jack had taken pains in restoring her to her original beauty before ten years of abuse under Barbossa's hand had damaged her:
:The wood was gleaming in the caribbean sun.....the figurehead on the bow of the ship polished almost insanly bright. The deck had been cleaned and detailed to a fine shine. Aboard the crew huried about ,preparing to dock. The Jolly Roger flew proudly in the wind:
:And Jack himself stood at the helm, the very symbol of pirate glory. He grinned at his old friends in Port Royal and waved: "Didn't think I wasn't going to show up did you now?"

Evelyn widened her eyes and grinned. "I never doubted you would show Jack!" Evelyn called out to him. The ship was beautiful and Evelyn watched as it was being docked and looked down at her own small rowboat. It was small and the wood was a bit worn. It had a small mast for floating lazily on the ocean upon occasion. It had room for four and nothing special about it. Only that the paddles were painted red in honor of her dear friend. And under the seats, the were flasks of rum...ready for use! Evelyn had taken the time to carve the name "Capt. Hawkley". She sighed looking at her small craft and back at the Pearl. "Quite a difference." she said with a chuckled kicking her boat slightly.

*Will grinned when he saw Jack sailing in. Then he laughed.* I wasnt sure if you'd come but I knew you couldn't rest without proving the grandness of your ship. *Will said, glancing at his own boat then to Evelyns. They were both small boats but they served their purpose.* Ah, well I have to admit Jack, your boat is pretty. *Will grinned, putting emphasis on the word boat.*

:Jack gave Will a glare: "SHIP!" He shouted, in mock anger, but grinned all teh same. "Where's Norrington?" He asked, looking around. "I would think he'd want to show off the pride of the Royal Navy...."

Evelyn looks over to Jack and calls out "Not here yet I believe. Although I expect he should be wanting to make an entrance as well!" she chuckled wondering Norrington would be showing up. Either way her small boat was still on the waters bobbing now from the waves the Black Pearl had brought in.

:Jack pitched a rope overboard: "Grab on lass....no need for you to go under the waves there..." He looked towards the horizon hoping to see the good commodore come sailin' in. Just so he could show off his pride and joy, the Black Pearl.:

Evelyn struggles as she pulls her small boat out of the incoming waves and grins. "Not that easy to take me under Jack, but I would appreciate seeing the view from your ship!" Evelyn grabs onto the rope and begins to climb up the side of the ship.

* As Analisa sails her small boat into the dock, she sees all of the beautiful boats/ships, that have already seemed to enter. She decides to enter the "contest" anyway.* ~The boat was very small. You could tell that it was hand-made by Analisa because it was a little "thicker" in some places, but overall, it was very good, especially for a first-time boat maker. The wood was natural, no stain, no paint, but it was very well crafted, and very sturdy. You would never know that it was a few years old and had been used out on sea many times. The only way you would be able to tell was that the deck was dirty. Analisa wasn't very good at swabbin' the deck. There was a maroon-and-blue flag on the mast, and on the side the words "The Natural Lady" were carved. The name really suited the boat.......~
